Substrate is the broad term for soil, potting mix, LECA, perlite or water and any additives that are combined to hold and feed your plant as it grows. It is where your plant gets most of its nutrients but also physically supports it. Many holds water for absorption and allow water to drain through at various rates.
We make our own Plant Mix that suits many plants but particularly aroids, as these are the primary plants that we grow. It is also suitable for many other varieties of plants or can be easily adapted to suit as required.
